The interior designers for the new show home at Greys Mews, a collection of just seventeen homes by Oakford Homes, have managed to capture the spirit of modern living with a tribute to the setting of Henley upon Thames.
“Because Henley is so chic and so widely known for its wonderful regatta, we’ve chosen a design which features rich navy and royal blues with lots of velvets,” said Rebecca Harris of Interiors by Dapa. “We’ve also included some of the traditional regatta colours with blue and white vertical stripes and artwork evoking movement and fluidity to reflect the River Thames running through Henley.
“These rich, bold colours have been softened with oyster and ivory, along with touches of brass on furniture and mustard gold on fabrics, which really brings the whole scheme to life.”
The show home at Greys Mews has recently opened to demonstrate the quality and designs for the range of just twelve 3 & 4 bedroom houses and a further five shared ownership apartments where 30% of homes have already been reserved.
The homes are designed and built by Oakford Homes, an award winning housebuilder based in Buckinghamshire. Sebastian Kemp, director of Oakford Homes, said, “We are very proud of these homes at Greys Mews especially as they all incorporate plenty of natural light and open plan living space.
“The interior design highlights these advantages as well as reflecting this terrific setting of Henley, being both smart and stylish. We’re delighted with the overall impact as it has been very well received by our early visitors.”
Each of the 3 and 4 bedroom houses will benefit from the excellent specification for which Oakford Homes has become known such as contemporary kitchens featuring stone worktops and a range of Smeg appliances (including combination microwave and dishwasher), and vanity suites are fitted to all bathrooms.
Interior designer Rebecca added, “Oakford Homes are fantastic to work with, always a pleasure. Their house designs are innovative and we feel we are an extension of their team when designing the interiors.
They have included some gorgeous features at Greys Mews and the new interior design just adds a little extra inspiration, such as the wallpaper in the second double bedroom which is actually called ‘waterfall’ and is my own personal favourite.”
These outstanding houses at Greys Mews are currently available from £650,000 to £840,000 while the apartments are offered on a shared ownership basis from £217,500. Details of the shared ownership scheme and conditions for the apartments are available from Oakford Homes or the Greys Mews marketing suite.
