Banstead in Surrey is a busy town that has all the qualities of a friendly village. Focal points include Banstead High Street and the village quarter, where you can shop for everyday essentials, meet friends for a coffee or give yourself a night off from cooking by booking into one of the excellent restaurants. As well as familiar brands, including Waitrose, M&S and Boots, independent businesses thrive in Banstead, with clothing boutiques, a wine merchants and a butcher just some of the varied shops. The 1,350 acres of Banstead Commons and the purple haze of Mayfield Lavender Fields are not to be missed either. The town also neighbours the spectacular North Downs and sits just north of the Surrey Hills National Landscape.
